Chocolate Cichlids (Hypselecara temporalis) are similar to Severums in that they are fairly peaceful for their rather large size. They can reach up to 12", and while reports have indicated that 55 gallons may be "enough," it is recommended that you keep them in no less than 75 gallons of water. They are tolerant of most water conditions but prefer softer, warmer water.

Carl Hontz Can't wait for this guy to get bigger and get some color. Still a cool looking fish even at his small size. Already ate and swimming around nonsanatly with my bigger Chiclids. This is my 5th or 6th order and never disappointed. Can't wait for next order
