The firemouth cichlid is a species of cichlid fish native to Central America. They occur in rivers of the Yucatán Peninsula, Mexico, south through Belize and into northern Guatemala. Their natural habitat is typically shallow, slow-moving, often turbid, water with a pH of 6.5 - 8.0.

Msry I ordered a 2.5 to 3in firemouth and got a 1.5in firemouth. I specifically asked for a larger fish for the fish's survival in my tank. He was killed and my money wasted all because this establishment was greedy
